  • 1½ cups tomato passata
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Dried basil to taste
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube, crumbled
  • Pinch of sugar
  • Red chili flakes to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta al dente according to package instructions in salted boiling water. Drain and save some pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Sauté minced onion for 4-5 minutes until softened; add garlic and sauté for another minute.
  3. Stir in tomato passata, dried basil, crumbled bouillon cube, sugar, red chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer briefly before adding heavy cream and milk.
  4. Mix in shredded mozzarella until melted. Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing gently to coat evenly; add reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
  5. Serve warm garnished with chopped parsley.
