  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar; let sit until foamy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, sugar, egg, and activated yeast mixture; knead until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise for about an hour until doubled in size.
  4. For the topping, melt remaining butter in a saucepan, add honey and sugar until dissolved; fold in almonds and cook until golden.
  5. Press dough into a greased springform pan, spread honey-almond topping over it, and bake at 350°F for about 25–30 minutes.
