  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cream cheese layer)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
  3. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients; stir until combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar and egg until smooth. Mix in vanilla and orange food coloring until you achieve the desired shade.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over it, then add the remaining brownie batter on top.
  6. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixtures together for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
