Description

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 450g (16 oz) mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 120g (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 120180g (1-1 1/2 cups) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onions and mushrooms.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté onions until translucent; add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  3. Mix in mayonnaise, salt, pepper, garlic, and Parmesan cheese until combined.
  4. Roll out puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.
  5. Spread mushroom filling evenly on each sheet and top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Roll each sheet tightly into logs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush with beaten egg and cut into 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick slices.
  8. Bake at 185°C (365°F) for about 30-40 minutes, until golden brown.
