  • 8 oz almond paste
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together egg and water in a small bowl for the egg wash.
  3. In a food processor, blend almond paste, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet and cut slits on both sides of the rectangle.
