  • 30 g unsweetened black cocoa powder
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 90 ml milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 400 g salted butter
  • 800 g powdered sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream (optional)
  • Electric green food coloring (a few drops)
  • 250 g orange fondant
  • 200 g black fondant
  • 1 tbsp CMC powder
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and prepare baking pans.
  2. 2. Cream together butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time while mixing.
  3. 3. Combine dry ingredients in another bowl, then gradually add to the wet mixture along with milk and vanilla.
  4. 4. Bake in prepared pans for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. 5. For the frosting, beat softened salted butter, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla; adjust consistency with milk if needed.
  6. 6. Assemble jars by layering crumbled cake and buttercream; top with fondant decorations.
